Explores the 1954-release of model GP9, a wildly popular copy of the design, of which over 4,200 units were produced at LaGrange, IL, and London, ON, prior to the last GP9 leaving London in 1963 for the Algoma Central. Also introduces the later first-generation geep models known as the GP18, GP20, and GP28. Chapters also cover the Canadian -built units and the cab- less booster units.
