I am starting to ship by UPS for those customers that would rather not wait for the strike to end. So, from now on when you place an order please specify if you would like it shipped UPS. There are no posted rates so I can't give a quote. I will not know the cost until it ships. Online orders will still show a CP estimate, as before, but your final invoice would be adjusted. You have been asking for another option so, for now, we have one.

Once again we have a Canada Post strike (for overseas customers that may not be aware). Any shipable orders (new/backorders/pre-orders) will be held until the strike is over. With shipping costs being high these days, even with CP, I am not currently contemplating using other couriers, which would be much more expensive and inconvenient. The 25% Canadian surtax on US-manufactured products has now been cancelled. The only products I have in stock which include this cost are very few Digitrax and Kadee items. So - its safe to backorder any out-of-stock items you require.  Meanwhile, many US manufacturers are finally raising their retail prices on China-manufactured products, to help offset the tariff. Good news continues. Virtually everything in stock is still tariff-free, as far as the Canadian surtax and China-induced US price increases. I have been continually re-stocking, but only where I can obtain pre-tariff prices. With the high US tariffs on Chinese imports on pause for 90 days, now would be a good time to place orders for these products. US price increases should be minimal or absorbed by the manufacturer.
